How to properly burn a candle to enjoy its fragrance for as long as possible?

How to properly burn a candle to enjoy its fragrance for as long as possible?

The first burning is the most important!

To avoid tunneling of the candle - that is, the wax burning at the edge and sinking the wick, you should burn the candle for 3-4 hours at the first firing. This will ensure that the candle burns evenly and optimally releases its aroma.

2. avoid burning the candle for a while/for the sake of getting to know the scent.

This will cause overburning of the wick, without its full activation, which may result in its subsequent crumbling and difficulty in re-ignition

3. the wick sizzles and shoots slightly!

Yes, this is a feature of wooden wicks, which slightly sizzle just like shooting wood in a fireplace. This is a completely natural and normal situation.

4 Choose the right place

The candle to be burned must not stand in a draught, next to a window or a room with a lot of traffic, to ensure proper burning and prevent uneven burning or burning/smoking of the candle

5 Trim the wick if necessary

Wooden wicks are a natural material - each wick burns a little differently. It is important that its length when firing the candle is about 5-6 mm. If the wick is too short, it can cause tunneling, under-burning to the walls, or partial candle kicking when the wick will not receive enough oxygen to burn.

6. do not extinguish the candle with your fingers or by blowing it out!

Extinguishing a candle by touching it with your fingers or by blowing it out causes damage to the wick, which will either crust or smoke and glow and take on the wrong shape.

To extinguish a candle properly, cover its inlet from the top and wait until it is completely extinguished. For this you can use a saucer, a cover of resistant glass or ceramic, or specially designed tools - extinguisher / extinguisher.

7 Remember - a lit candle should be supervised and controlled. Before lighting it for the first time, familiarize yourself with the rules of safe candle burning.

2) It is mandatory to extinguish the candle when you leave the house or go to bed.

3) A candle is a flammable product - keep it away from other flammable materials, objects and agents or plants (such as paper, fabrics, curtains or alcohol)

4) Do not touch a lit candle with your bare hand - during burning the glass heats up and can cause burns.
